Here you will find up to date college basketball odds courtesy of Bodog Sportsbook.  These odds are live and up to date at Bodog, but we still recommend that you compare the odds with those found at 5Dimes prior to betting because 5Dimes will offer the best odds more often than not.

Understanding the Odds

All of the odds seen above are in the American odds format, which is the most common odds format for betting on college basketball.  In this format the (+) or (-) sign indicates whether the team is the favourite or underdog and if you will win more or less money than you risk.  The (+) indicates the team is the underdog, and that a bet on that team will win more than the amount risked.  In contrast, the (-) sign indicates the team is the favourite, which means that you will win less money than you risk.

The number beside the (+) sign then indicates the amount you will win from a $100 wager on that team and the number beside the (-) indicates how much you must wager to win $100 on that team.  Here is an example:

North Carolina +140
Duke -130

In this example Duke are slight money line favourites over rivals North Carolina.  A $100 bet on North Carolina will win $140 for a total payout of $240.  Meanwhile a $130 wager on Duke will win $100 for a total payout of $230 with more risk.

The American odds format is very easy to learn and understand, and if you are planning to bet on college basketball this season it is essential that you understand the odds so you know exactly what you are betting on.
